Myrtle Beach Bike Week
Myrtle Beach Bike Week is one of the largest motorcycle rallies in the country, drawing hundreds of thousands of riders to the Grand Strand each spring. The main event runs in May, with a second rally in the fall.
When It Happens
Spring Bike Week typically runs the second week of May. The fall rally, sometimes called Myrtle Beach Bike Fest, runs in October. Both draw massive crowds to the area.
What's Going On
The action spreads across the Grand Strand — Ocean Boulevard, the Boardwalk, and venues up and down Highway 17. Expect live music, vendor markets, custom bike shows, and a lot of chrome rolling through town. The energy is hard to miss even if you're not a rider.
Staying at Ocean Lakes During Bike Week
Ocean Lakes is a family campground and stays family-focused during Bike Week — it's a good base if you want to be close to the action without being in the middle of it. The campground is about 10 minutes from the main Bike Week activity on Ocean Boulevard.
Tips
- Traffic on Ocean Boulevard and Highway 17 gets heavy — plan extra time for any driving
- Restaurants and attractions are busier than usual — make reservations where you can
- If you're not attending Bike Week, it's worth knowing the dates so you can plan around the crowds
