Myrtle Beach Air Show
The Myrtle Beach Air Show is a free oceanfront air show held each spring, with military and civilian aircraft performing over the beach. It's one of the most attended free events on the Grand Strand.
The Show
The air show typically runs over a weekend in late May or early June. Performances include military jets, aerobatic teams, vintage warbirds, and civilian stunt pilots. The U.S. Navy Blue Angels and U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds have both headlined in past years. The show runs both days, usually from late morning through mid-afternoon.
Watching from Ocean Lakes
Ocean Lakes sits right on the beach, which means you can watch a good portion of the air show from the campground's private beach access. For the best view of the full performance area, head up to the public beach near the Boardwalk or find a spot along Ocean Boulevard.
Getting There
The show is free to watch from the beach — no tickets needed. The beach fills up fast on both days, so arrive early to get a good spot. Parking along Ocean Boulevard is limited; rideshare or biking from Ocean Lakes is a good option.
