Ocean Lakes July 4th Celebration

Ocean Lakes goes all out for the Fourth of July. The campground fills up weeks in advance, so if you're planning to be here for the holiday, book early.

What to Expect

The celebration runs across the full holiday weekend with activities for every age. Expect live music at the pavilion, a decorated golf cart parade through the campground streets, and a fireworks show launched right from the beach. Kids' events run throughout the day — sandcastle contests, watermelon eating competitions, and games at Sandy Harbor.

The Fireworks

Ocean Lakes hosts one of the best private fireworks shows on the Grand Strand. The beach fills up early, so stake out your spot by 8pm. The show typically starts around 9:30pm and runs a full 20 minutes. You won't need to leave the campground.

Golf Cart Parade

Decorating your golf cart is half the fun. Residents and guests go all in with flags, lights, and patriotic themes. The parade winds through the main campground roads — grab a spot along the route and cheer them on, or enter your own cart.
